Our Story
Cards Against Cancer is a youth-led nonprofit organization created by Keerthi Nelluri, a junior at Durham Academy, and Maya Doraiswamy, a junior at Tower Hill School. Millions of people around the world struggle every day with cancer and our mission is to support patients through their struggle with handwritten cards and gift baskets to brighten their day and bring a smile to their face. Although we have not started fundraising events, we are looking for donors on our GoFundMe. We are also currently looking for hospital partnerships for our services to support more and more cancer patients.
Future Goals
Our main goals for the future are to start giving out gift baskets to patients with hospital partnerships and starting large fundraising events when we start accepting donors. Our goal for the next few years is to receive $1000 in donations and provide at least 30 gift baskets to support cancer patients. We also raise awareness and spread information about our organization on our Instagram @cardsagainstcancerinc and have a goal of reaching thousands of people nationwide.
